Marine One Security Breach

Since I work in the field of information security, or computer security, this story in particular really bothers me. We, as a people, need to start watching where the government is spending our money. It seems they cannot hire any competent contractor to do a job.

Fox News quote:
"Tiversa CEO Bob Boback said a defense contractor in Bethesda, Md., had a file sharing program on one of their systems that contained highly sensitive blueprints for Marine One and financial information about the cost of the helicopter."

Basically, someone hired by the government as a defense contractor, someone who should be secure, had a file sharing program installed on a computer that contained sensitive information. Where did this person, or people, learn their trade? They are possibly involved in the national security of America and the personal security of the President and yet they had a file sharing program installed on a machine containing information we do not want in the wrong hands. It would even seem that the wrong hands are exactly who got it.

Fox News quote:
"Sensitive information about Marine One was reportedly found by Tiversa employees at an IP address in Tehran."

Tehran is the capital of Iran for those of you who do not know. This does not imply that it was someone involved in Iran's government; I must make that clear.

Some great security our government has, and these are the people we want having all of our medical information in a central storage of some kind?
